Hisense U8G vs H9G difference

Remote
Hisense U8G
The remote has received some updates since last year. There are more sponsored programmable buttons, and you can’t reprogram them to your favorite streaming service. While the remote does include a microphone for voice control, this, unfortunately, doesn’t affect any of the TV’s settings.
Hisense U9G
With the same remote that is compatible with other Hisense products, like the H9F and H8G, you’ll be able to access Netflix and other popular streaming services easier than ever. Plus, it has a built-in microphone for voice control through Google Assistant.
Refresh rate
The Hisense H9G doesn’t offer any variable refresh rate technology. The new model of this TV, the Hisense U8G, however, does support FreeSync and the 120Hz signal works properly.
Image
The Hisense U8G boasts excellent contrast, delivering deep blacks. The downside is that contrast isn’t quite at the level of the H9G – we’re not sure what’s going on with that variance in terms of how consistent the unit is or how much variance could be found across units, but it isn’t a big difference.
Hisense U8G vs H9G Similarities

Build
The TV has a solid build quality. The stand is well-made and doesn’t wobble. The screen borders are metal, but the body is mostly plastic. There is little to no flex around the mounts, although this should not cause any trouble during installation.
Viewing angle
In TVs with VA technology, the image does degrade when viewed at an angle. Most noticeable is the gamma shift which causes it to be less sharp than IPS. Lower angles have more accurate colors but not as long as IPS.
Apps
This Android TV offers a whole host of streaming apps. It includes Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube, Google Play Video, FandangoNOW in 4K, and Tubi. You can take advantage of apps like Disney+, Hulu, Pandora, Pluto TV, and more. Google Play is in fact a huge app store with lots of other types of apps for all different types of lifestyles and interests – including those for sports, music, and more.
Which one should you choose Hisense U8G or H9G?
The Hisense H9G and the Hisense U8G are both very nice TVs, with a lot of similar features in common. The newer U8G has better accuracy out of the box, but the H9G we tested produced better black uniformity, contrast, and gray uniformity across multiple samples.
